Here’s one of the solution when you encounter a sudden slow of internet speed and you are using Windows 10. When you checked on speedtest.net showing your upload speed is all good but your download speed was performing only 20% or very low of your subscribed speed, do try the following steps to see if it fix your problem.
 
 

Step 1. Open Device Manager

Step 2. Find your Network Adapter, right click on it and choose Properties

Step 3. Go to Advanced tab and find the property 802.11n Preamble, change its Value to Mixed Mode, and press Ok.

Test it again with speedtest.net and your internet D/L speed should be back to normal now.

If problem still persist, you might need to find another solution to pinpoint the exact cause.
